Dormitory in Kowloon - Hostel

The room was a very good size, and the shower and toilet were great. The beds, though, weren’t comfortable, and the kitchen was terrible. It needs an upgrade, including new kitchenware, since what’s there is very old and damaged. A little investment could make this the best place in town. I hope they improve it.

The bedrooms were much better than the common areas, quite open and clean. The showers and toilets were fine, though a bit small. The bed was decent, and the location was decent too. But the common room and kitchen were dirty and run-down, poorly ventilated, and unpleasant to spend time in. Nothing was free, not even coffee or tea, and smoking was allowed in the common room, which added to the stink. I honestly don’t know how this place got such good reviews. I only saw staff at check-in, then no one during my two-night stay. Maybe that was because of the current situation, but it would’ve been nice if someone had been around. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere a bit nicer. If you arrive at Miyanoura port, you can easily catch a bus to the other side, where the dorm rooms may be preferable. Buses run frequently and cost only 100 yen.

There’s plenty of seating in the lounge, and the dorm rooms have small lockers. The kitchen was well equipped and the place was clean. On the ground floor there are two showers and one toilet, with another toilet upstairs. You check in by phone once you arrive.

The kitchen and lounge have an old-school feel, but it suits the atmosphere. The rooms are nice, and the location is good.
