The rooms are small, but they're quite adequate, and the price is very reasonable. Shinomiya station is just a short walk away, and you can cycle to Nara's main sights or take a train or bus. The Nara Palace site is nearby too. There's a restaurant/cafe at street level, with plenty of popular, well-priced places to eat around the neighborhood.

The staff were friendly. Rooms are small but practical, and the rates are reasonable.

Small room, but fair enough for what it costs.

The staff were really friendly.

The location is ideal, and the staff were helpful. The building is old, which seems to be why the price is so affordable. In my room, though, the bathtub drained badly and water ended up flooding the toilet area. At this price I can accept it, but if this isn't happening in other rooms, they should check mine. There's no freezer either, which could be inconvenient in summer.
