Nara-no-ya

We’d happily book this place again if we return to Nara. It’s right in the city, easy to get around on foot, but tucked on a quiet side street. The house was large and clean for our family of four, with room for up to four adults and two kids. The kids loved the play tent, and the sake dispenser was a nice touch. There’s parking for one car. Check-in details were clear, the host replied promptly, and the English instructions for the appliances were really helpful.

This renovated traditional Japanese house was spotless and comfortable, right in the old town near Nara park. It had everything we needed, and the appliance instructions were in English. I’d highly recommend it.

We had the whole building to ourselves with five friends, so we could keep chatting late into the night. That kind of stay seems hard to have at a hotel. I’d use this place again if I get the chance.

We had a comfortable two-night stay as five adults and two children. Since it was a detached house, we didn’t have to worry about disturbing other guests the way we might at a regular hotel. The room and bathroom were very clean, and there were toys for the children and futons provided. Towels and other amenities were supplied for everyone, so we had everything we needed.
