Noborioji Hotel Nara

The staff are the real star here, with truly world class service. It feels more like a private home than a hotel, and there are so many nice surprises, from the bar to the music salon, which is a must visit. The room was great, the restaurant even better, and the wine list top notch. Exceptional hotel!! Next time, I think I should stay here and commute to Kyoto and Osaka.

The Christmas dinner was a treat, with live piano music. The pianist came to our table to welcome us and ask if we had requests. Dinner was good and plentiful, and breakfast was really good too, with a choice of traditional Japanese or Western style. Our room was insanely big, with a shower and a bathtub that had a tablet. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind, showed us the amenities, and gave us comfy footwear. They also had deer treats at the front desk. A wonderful experience.

Three of us stayed here during a short visit to Nara. The service was incredibly attentive, friendly, and focused on helping guests. The park is very close, while the train is a little farther away, but both are walkable. We enjoyed dinner at the formal French restaurant, and they graciously accommodated my dietary restrictions. The meal was delicious. I'd recommend staying and dining here.

I enjoyed my stay. The service was outstanding, and the bed was bigger than any I've ever seen. Fresh fruit in the room was a lovely touch, as were the thoughtful little deer crackers to feed the deer. The place feels very proper, almost like being an English aristocrat or something.
