I really liked the sunrise and the two public baths, one open to the outdoors and the other facing the ocean. The Japanese-style buffet had live chef performances, with plenty for people who enjoy seafood and Japanese dishes, including sweet potato and seasonal local foods like lotus root. Our room was clean and nicely decorated in a Van GoGH theme. Only seven rooms were renovated last year. It also had a coffee maker, free water, a larger 50-inch Hi Definition Smart TV, and a pillow menu. The facilities and service were easy to use. I’d recommend booking breakfast and dinner.

The reception staff were incredibly helpful, and breakfast had a good range of choices. We stayed one night while visiting the whirlpools. It’s in a beautiful spot, and our room was very large and comfortable.

My favorite part of our Japan trip was the Awa Odori dance show. We also had great hospitality, fresh sashimi, a lovely breakfast, and a beautiful view. I’d happily stay here again.

The food looked good and the fish was fresh. Breakfast is buffet style, so service there is limited. We also enjoyed the two onsen options: one has a nice view of the rising sun, while the other lets you shower outdoors in nature. It’s an older hotel, but it has the amenities most people need, and we enjoyed our stay.

The buffet breakfast had a great selection and good quality, and there’s a machine for discounted advance tickets to nearby attractions. We had a great ocean view from the room, with enough amenities. Naruto maki and Otsuka Museum of Art are just a few minutes away by car. One catch with the half-board package is that dinner has to be reserved on the hotel website after booking. There were very few slots, so getting the restaurant we wanted was difficult.
