Hotel View Palace

The hillside setting gives you a lovely view from both the room and the lobby. The place feels recently refurnished, with a cozy interior and a color scheme I really liked. Everything was clean. The restaurant staff were warm, and dinner was a good-value fine dining meal, though breakfast the next morning was a pleasant surprise and even nicer. The onsen was great, especially the outdoor one, but getting down the stairs could be tough for older guests. I’d rate this above a 3% hotel and would definitely visit again. I loved the key pouch too, though it’s a shame guests don’t get to keep one as a gift.

The rooms were nice and I enjoyed the onsen, but I found the price very high. We couldn’t locate the larger bath, though not getting to use the rotenburo wasn’t a real loss for us. It seems like the place could suit younger couples looking for a romantic escape, but I think there are more affordable options with better onsen and rotenburo for that kind of trip. I still wonder how the young couple in their twenties we saw could afford a romantic stay here.

Really unusual white hot springs, tasty meals, and comfortable rooms. It’s a nice hotel for foreign visitors.

The staff were friendly and the service was good. They have all the amenities you need.
