Nasu Onsen Guest Inn Yukari

The place won me over as soon as I saw the website, so I booked a night with a college classmate, including dinner and breakfast. Halloween decorations made the rooms, reception, staircase, and little details feel cute. The meals were all delicious and the portions felt right. The baths have time limits, but they smelled lovely and the temperature was comfortable. I’m sensitive to cold, though I managed fine: there were blankets and throws, and air conditioning we could adjust. The bed was fluffy and warm enough that I didn’t need either. The rules are explained at check-in and written down in the room, and I can see why they’re needed to protect the setting. The sky was cloudy when I stayed, so seeing the stars was hard, but there aren’t many lights nearby and I imagine they’re beautiful. The hotel is a little hard to find, so take care if you’re bad with directions.

After ten years, I came back for another stay. It’s quiet around here, a lovely spot to unwind and rest both body and mind. I’d like to return on my own sometime and enjoy the time to myself.

It was peaceful and really nice here, and this was my first stay. The room had lots of cute decorations and felt like a relaxing place to spend time. The bath was just the right temperature. It was a little tricky to find, but navigation made it easy enough. I’d happily stay again on my next visit to Nasu.

There was a lot of care in the details, and the inn felt charming. Everything was clean, the food was delicious, and we had a lovely time. Even the bath rules showed how much thought had gone into the place. A lot of the dishes were homemade and tasty. We got a welcome drink when we arrived, and could rent beauty devices and games, which made for a fun evening. Some older GPS units may send you to the wrong place, so Google Maps is a better choice.
