Kansuien Kakuraku

I travel a lot, and honestly, this is easily the best hotel I’ve found. Everything feels impeccable. I’ve stayed here more than five times this year and still love it. The staff are incredibly friendly, especially the hostess.

We had a wonderful stay, with a clean, neat room and kind, pleasant staff. The free drinks were a lovely touch. Thank you for giving us such precious memories here.

The bath was very clean and had good amenities. My pillow was a little too flat, but there were spares in the cabinet. The food was about what I expected. The stewed pork belly was great; the rest brought no surprises, good or bad. Coffee and tea were better than average for places in Japan. There’s a very fluent English-speaking staff member, so overseas travelers needn’t worry. I’d bring my mother here. The owner’s eye for design shows in the carefully arranged garden, classy furniture, fresh flowers everywhere, and cute clover-heart teacups. I think she’d appreciate all that, along with the knee-friendly lift and real chairs in the tatami room instead of the usual floor chairs.

The lounge was always stocked with good drinks, coffee in the morning and sake at night, and played nice jazz. At the start, they welcomed us with snacks and tea at a very nice entrance. The room was clean and nicely done, the food was delicious, and the service was wonderful.
