Petit Hotel Akihabara Toujour

The check-in staff were courteous, and one even wiped down my suitcase after it got a little wet in the drizzle. I liked my first stay at an APA Hotel. The rooms are clean, and the TV has great information, including an option to schedule a late checkout. They’re smaller than the rooms I usually get, about 120 square feet instead of 150, but fine for one person. Two might find it a squeeze.

The hotel itself is nice and the room was clean, but it was so small that moving around was difficult. If you have a lot of things, get a bigger room. The laundry setup was awful: one washer and one dryer for the whole building, and neither worked well. The washer only half-cleaned a small load, so I had to run it several times. Drying took two and a half hours just to get things basically dry, and the machines didn’t have PIN locks. Find a nearby laundromat if you need to wash anything. Also, cleaners were banging around outside our rooms for three hours, until 9 pm. When we went to check, one was sitting in the cleaning cage, eating and talking loudly on his phone.

The room felt new, clean, and quiet. It’s a 5-10 minute walk from the station, and storing luggage under the bed was handy.

Akihabara is easy to explore from here, and Akihabara Station is close by. There are plenty of businesses nearby for whatever you need. The hotel had all the amenities I needed for my stay. I’d definitely recommend it, as I usually do with APA Hotels.
