Though it's tucked away and quiet, this onsen hotel still seemed quite popular and well patronized. The room was spacious. Breakfast was basic, and the food at an event dinner we had there was okay.

It was decent for the price, though pretty basic, and it was a bit crowded while we were there. There was rust in one of the women's onsens. You need to bring your own towels for washing and drying off; soap and shampoo are provided.

I went when it wasn't crowded, so keeping some distance from others was easy. The little onsen has a couple of nice baths but no outdoor bath. We also had a quick lunch in the restaurant, where they had plexiglass dividers and other measures to help prevent disease transmission.

I haven't stayed overnight, but I've used the onsen and eaten at the restaurant several times. The food and onsen are good value, and the staff are friendly and helpful. I'd give it five stars if there were an outdoor bath.

Great value for the price.
