The rooms are clean and spacious, and the hotel is close to the station and convenience stores, including Lawson and Seven Eleven, plus a mini mart. Service was good, the staff spoke politely, and check-in was fast. You can drink the bathroom water, and there’s an ice press on the 6th and 12th floors. My one request is a smart TV. I’m a tourist from Thailand, and couldn’t watch anything on the regular TV. With a smart TV, this would be a very good hotel.

The hotel has the amenities you’d expect, and the location is very convenient, right across from Koriyama Station, near several blocks of restaurants, with a 7-11 attached on the first floor. It’s a solid place, and I’d still recommend it, but the room doesn’t do much to block sound. I could hear people talking in the hall and closing their doors, as well as the Shinkansen at the station across the street. The room is also narrow, so opening a medium or larger suitcase fully can be difficult. I hope they improve the noise insulation.

The rooms were small and rather dark, with just one towel and no amenities. Breakfast was below average. During my 16 trips to Japan, I haven’t encountered staff this unfriendly or unhelpful. I’ll avoid Daiwa hotels in the future.

A very nice hotel, with helpful staff and warm hospitality. The room rate was very reasonable.
