Aburatsu is a lovely place to stay, not too far from either the train station or the bus station. The surroundings feel quiet, gentle, and comfortable at any time of day. If you're arriving late or leaving early, let the host know when you book.

I stay here to watch the Carp training camp because it's cheap and close to Tenpuku Baseball Stadium. The shared bathrooms are pretty inconvenient, since you can't use the toilet when someone else is in the shower. Even so, the price and location appeal to me, so I expect I'll keep coming back.

After more than ten years, my wife and I returned to Nichinan for a two-night, three-day trip to visit her family's grave. We wanted an inexpensive place since it was just the two of us, and were glad we found this guesthouse. We weren't expecting much, but it was just right. The building is old, though the futons were clean and we had no problems. We had parking, a locked private room, tableware, a bath and shower, a bidet, towels and bath towels, and a hairdryer. We also felt comfortable about privacy and keeping our valuables safe, which can be a concern at guesthouses. The location was great, with a convenience store directly across the street and downtown just a few minutes away on foot. We ate at a local izakaya, then picked up food at the convenience store and had a little party in the shared room with a table. The manager was only there for check-in and was very kind. At 3000 yen per person per night, we were very satisfied.
