Hotel Seasons Nichinan

I stayed three days and found it really well priced. The staff were kind, the rooms clean, and the view beautiful. It’s close to the beach, with the mountains only a short drive away, and Wi-Fi is free. One thing that bothered me: even with the “do not disturb” sign on the door, they came in and cleaned. I also wish they’d been clearer about the possible discounts with jimomiyatabi.

The breakfast was the best part of my stay, tasty and with plenty to choose from. The view was very good too. The rooms felt old and dated, and staff didn’t speak English, so I had to get by with Google Translate.

March 2026: Breakfast comes as a set menu, with Japanese or Western food to choose from. The Japanese option had a wide selection, a bit like food at a guesthouse, though the miso soup tasted too strong to me. The windows were fogged with condensation in the morning, but the view over the Hiroto River estuary was great. July 2025: It’s a rare place to stay in Nichinan. The table was comfortable and easy to work at. The bathroom, though, was old and had that old hotel smell I don’t really like.

The restaurant menu is mediocre, and the building is worn, with lots of stains. The pet quilt is incredibly heavy. The ocean view from the 7th floor is decent, but the shower pressure is weak and the sink is old. It’s priced like a three-star place, though it feels like one star. It’s the Hiroshima Carp’s designated hotel, apparently because there aren’t other options besides business hotels.
