Paak Hotel Sai

The story behind this charming place is wonderful, and Yu , the host, is incredible. It feels more like an air b n b with breakfast, and the amenities are top notch. An absolute treasure, flawless, and I can’t recommend it enough.

We stayed four days and wished we’d booked longer. This wonderful house has a meaningful message behind its design and is perfectly located in the old town. The castle and restored areas are only a few minutes’ walk away. There are lots of food options, a grocery store, and convenience stores in walking distance. By car, a co-op and large drug store are within 10 mins. Our three kids, aged 4 to 11, enjoyed the house and backyard garden. There’s a large TV, but bring HDMI adapters if you want to stream from a tablet or laptop. The kids also spent some time sketching. The staircase to the bedroom is vertical. Our 4yo managed it, but younger children might need to be carried up and down. The house is 100+ years old, so expect it to be cold in winter. There’s a heater in the bedroom and living room, and a space heater in the toilet, but it still won’t be warm. We’re from Singapore, so anywhere is cold. 😂 Thanks especially to Nagao-san for the help and coordination, and to the cleaners for keeping the house so clean and organised. We hope to return in spring or autumn. The owners also run a design company and coffee shop. If you can, visit them too. The coffee is great, and the group’s purpose is meaningful.

Such a beautiful hotel, thoughtfully designed and furnished. I wish we’d stayed for more than one night!

I felt really comfortable here. The stylish building and spacious garden were lovely, and the amenities and service were excellent. I’d definitely like to stay again.
