APA Villa Hotel Tsubame-Sanjyo-Ekimae

Everything was clean, and the facilities were very good even though the room was small. It's close to the station, too. I loved that the TV had free adult movies.

The staff were polite, but they didn't show much flexibility or initiative. There was just one elevator, so waits could get long, and at the public bath you have to queue naked for an available locker. The lobby had only four chairs and no sofa for waiting. The rooms were small, as you'd expect at APA, though actually a little better than the ones in Tokyo. The price was the bigger shock: this remote location usually runs $40 to $80 per room even in summer, but I paid $460 for two small rooms, with no breakfast included. Parking cost extra as well. APA has long been known for tiny rooms and steep high-season rates, and this was a clear example. I wouldn't come here during peak season.

The only issue was the wind. During a very windy spell, my room on the seventh floor actually shook, so I'd suggest a lower floor if you're not used to strong winds. Otherwise, for the price, I had a great stay.

The parking is limited and the rooms are small, but the room was comfortable and nice.
