After traveling to many countries, I can honestly say the breakfast and dinner buffets at Asaya Hotel were the best we've experienced. The hot springs were extraordinary too. Our family of four stayed five nights, and the whole visit became one of the most moving and unforgettable experiences of our lives. We'd come because ChatGPT recommended Asaya Hotel. Getting there from Haneda Airport by subway, train, and taxi took a long time, but the moment we stepped inside, everything changed. The kindness of the staff made the hotel feel like a gift of comfort. Everyone was warm, and I especially want to thank Mr. Jaeho Kuk, the Korean staff member at the dinner buffet restaurant. His attentiveness made us feel at home and deeply touched us. I've been a teacher for over 20 years, and the hospitality here made me think I wish I could teach this kind of care to my children and students. We rested, healed, and made precious memories. If I return to Japan, Asaya Hotel will be my first stop. From my heart, thank you to everyone there for such a meaningful stay.

We chose one of the traditional tatami rooms, which came with breakfast, dinner, and lounge access. It was spacious, very clean, and amazing. The buffet dinner had literally a hundred different choices, and breakfast in the small restaurant was fantastic too. The staff were professional, welcomed us right away, and some spoke English. This is an excellent hotel in the Nikko area, with regular rooms as well as tatami ones. Simply an amazing experience.

We stayed three nights, early December, from the 2nd to the 4th. The check-in was smooth, the room and food were great, and the staff did their best to meet our needs. Definitely recommend it.

We were surprised by how hospitable and helpful the service was. It's a great onsen hotel, and the luxury option includes both breakfast and dinner. Definitely one I'd recommend!

The food was a real highlight, with a huge buffet full of choices from around the world. Our room had a tatami section and was massive, and we liked soaking in the bath in the room. We could hear the river below, which was relaxing. The staff were consistently friendly and polite. There's a lot on site, including restaurants, pools, shops, and bars, though the bars weren't open during our visit. It felt like a five-star resort, a bit like a cruise ship, after the dial bus ride from the station through what seemed like a ghost town full of derelict buildings. We went to the world heritage area and walked around Ryuzu Falls. Snow and ice made the walk a little tricky, but it was beautiful. The hotel may suit people with a car or anyone who'd rather stay on-site. One thing to know: despite what Google says, the world heritage pass doesn't work on the dial bus, which costs 300 yen cash.
