We really enjoyed our stay. The 37-year old hotel operator was friendly, helpful, and hospitable, and they put real effort into dinner and breakfast. Most of the staff spoke English and always had a smile. Our room looked out over the lake, which was pleasant.

The lakeside view from our room was especially lovely, and the room and bathroom were spotless. They made for a comfortable, relaxing stay. The meals were a real highlight, with both breakfast and dinner delicious, carefully prepared, and beautifully presented. We spent two nights at Hatago Nagomi and had a terrific time. The staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive from the moment we arrived. It made a memorable part of our trip around Japan, and we’d happily return. Highly recommend Hatago Nagomi.

The hotel sits by Lake Chuzenji, right on the bus line to Nikko town, local sights, and hiking trails. It’s a small, relaxing onsen that welcomes guests with tattoos. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and nutritious, served in a modest but warm dining room. The friendliest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I want to come back every year!

There’s no elevator, but the staff kindly carried our suitcases up to the room. They were friendly and helpful, and we had a pleasant stay. The onsen is included, and we enjoyed both meals. Dinner and breakfast were simple but satisfying, and tasted great.

The room was so spacious that even after we added two extra beds, there was still plenty of room to move around. The location was convenient, and they let us leave our car in front of the hotel after checkout. Everyone on staff was friendly and welcoming. We also enjoyed both breakfast and dinner, and they accommodated our request for a vegetarian meal. A wonderful experience, and I’d recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.
