Niseko Grand Hotel

The mountain view from the outdoor onsen, with snow-covered trees all around, was amazing. It felt close to nature and was clean, though not especially new, which is part of its charm. At the time I visited, entry was 3000 yen per person, which felt like great value. We took a taxi from the Hirafu side, about 20 minutes, and it was worth the trip. You can also take the A bus toward Annupuri. I only came for the onsen, so can't comment on the rooms, but you can pay to use it without staying at the hotel. A really nice, authentic Japanese onsen experience.

Our newly renovated room was warm, comfortable, and a decent size. The onsen was amazing, and the food was fantastic too. They also gave us a free shuttle to the bus stop when we asked.

The staff were friendly and helpful, including with arranging shuttle buses and vans to major destinations. It's a relaxing place, and the outdoor bath has a mixed bathing section where they lend you swimwear.

The staff were the highlight for me, always friendly, attentive, and ready to help. Breakfast was excellent, and the restaurant looked newly renovated. There are washers and dryers, with built-in detergent that smells lovely. The tatami room felt cozy and warm, though a little dated, and the bathroom was quite compact. The onsen made up for that, giving us a relaxing place to bathe and soothe sore muscles after skiing or snowboarding. It was a pleasant stay.
