This is a typical Japanese-style ryokan with bed and breakfast and dinner. The hot spring bath is old, though the water seems quite good. It’s right next to the ski area, with easy access to the ski lift.

There’s a lovely big natural onsen, plus an outdoor bath, rottenburo. You can also use he gayeri (only onsen), for 1000¥, with a towel for 300 that you can take with you. The staff are nice. Should try.

Good value for the money, with sulfur hot spring baths and breakfast and dinner service. Sitting in the outdoor bath in November was a great experience.
