A great hostel for keeping costs down on a snow trip. Bring your own towel, though. When we visited, they had disposable ones for 300 yen each if you forgot.

The best part for me is the two-minute walk to the lifts, Annupuri groomed slopes, and back country. It’s also very reasonably priced. The place has a relaxed, homey feel, with a cozy living and dining room and a kitchen set up for DIY cooking, so bring your own groceries. If it isn’t full, Tani, the great owner, may give you a dorm room to yourself. There aren’t pubs or clubs here, just a few basic restaurants. I had a comfy, nice week and will definitely come back sometime to relax and get plenty of riding in.
A perfect base for skiing, with clean, spacious rooms and the Annupuri lifts an easy walk away.
The dorms and common room were warm and comfortable, and the kitchen has plenty of utensils. The owner was a great, helpful guy, and I met lots of really nice people staying there. It’s amazing value in Niseko, cheaper than most places, with the Annupuri Gondola and lifts about a three-minute walk away. Annupuri Nook, where you can catch the bus, is just as easy to reach. Iroha onsen is around an 8-10 minute walk. Definitely coming back.
Tani really came through for us after we had to cancel our other accommodation. He saved us from having to build an igloo. It’s cozy and comfortable, even with shared restrooms, and a very cost-effective place to stay.
