The room was large and nicely set up, with a high-end feel. The indoor whirlpool tub was excellent, and the open-air bath was comfortable and big enough for three or four people. I only wish the removable railing and plank section were clear glass all the way across, so I could enjoy the sunset view while bathing. I gave the room four stars because I would have liked a work desk. Still, it was a memorable, fantastic stay.
My wife wants to return in March for the sakuras, and we both really enjoyed our one night in the Rangyoku room. The room was larger than expected, had great views, and its high-tech features and amenities impressed us, including the electric toothbrush. The onsen also left our skin feeling very smooth. We especially liked the idea behind the second room, and enjoyed a beautiful sunset last night. The French japanese cuisine was deliciously presented, and breakfast impressed us too. Special thanks to Otowa san and her team. We'll definitely be back.
This small seaside boutique hotel feels very classy, with just six rooms and magnificent beach and sunset views from each one. The balcony was beautifully furnished and had a natural hot spring bath, and they offered late checkout at 12 pm. Dinner was delicious, an exquisite western fusion style meal, and breakfast was lovely too. Service was personal, attentive, and polite. There was even a filtered water dispenser in the room, just like the one we use at home. An absolutely beautiful experience, thank you very much!
A perfect weekend escape from Tokyo. Our room had a private onsen, a rotenburo, with one of the most amazing views in western Izu. Both dinner and breakfast were incredible and served in a private room. The management and service staff were so kind and accommodating.
At Ranjiyari, the sunset over Suruga Bay is the main event. Nishiizu Town is known for its sunsets, and this adult resort makes a great spot to take in the views. The inn is built from reused beams from an old house, and its name refers to two special rooms shaped like cocoons. Just six groups can stay each day, with two separate guest rooms in the inner sanctum overlooking Dogashima Island. Each has a terrace and an open-air bath facing the sea. At dusk, the water turns crimson as the sun sinks, and you can linger in the glow of magic hour. A walkway leads to a private room in the main building. It's used as the dining room for breakfast and dinner, but guests can also drop in to rest after a bath. Its windows look out over Nishiizu's floating islands, and there's a private siesta area for relaxing. A stay-at-home trip becomes a reality.
