I've only stayed at the Urban hotel, and found it acceptable, with friendly people. As far as I know, Nishiwaki has two hotels, the Urban hotel and the Royal hotel. The Royal hotel has the nicer reception area, though colleagues tell me the Urban hotel rooms are better.

For work, it had the basics I needed: a steady Wi-Fi connection, a good desk and lighting for using my computer, and a simple, well-kept room where I could unwind after the day. Getting there was easy by train or car, since it's near the station and offers free parking. Staff at the front desk were courteous, and check-in and checkout went smoothly. Breakfast is buffet style, so I could have a filling meal before heading out. It's practical rather than flashy, and should suit business travelers well.

The room was clean and comfortable, and perfectly fine for sleeping and getting some rest. I also thought the price was reasonable, especially for a quick solo stay. I hadn't expected much, so the view from the hotel was a lovely surprise. I caught myself looking out the window for a while. Breakfast is buffet style. There aren't that many side dishes, but there's bread, rice, and drinks to choose from, which felt like enough for the morning. I'd stay here again if I'm in the area.

I was here for a golf training camp, and chose the 700 yen breakfast since it was my first stay. The rice, vegetables, and fish were all just right. I'd come back if I get the chance.
