We had a lot of fun, and there was no waiting. Even with the lunch buffet, we finished in under five and a half hours. The course is really flat and very long, though I found it a little boring because it’s so level.

A good value for business team retreats, though it’s not really executive-level. There are plenty of meeting rooms, plus a huge conference room with a stage that probably holds 200 people. It’s about a 45-minute drive from Tokyo, and the price is very reasonable. The rooms are simple but have what you need, and the food is pretty decent. On site there’s also an uncomplicated 18-hole golf course that’s fun to play. It’s a bare-bones, solid hotel, well suited to team getaways.

I went for lunch with my Japanese Sensei, not to play golf. My Sensei usually comes here two to four times to golf, and I’d heard that a package with golf, lunch, and a bath costs around 10,000 Yen. The golf ground sits between the Tone river and the hotel, and there’s a large parking area. The club has a buffet restaurant with Chinese, Japanese, and Western options. I had the Japanese buffet, which that day included Sashimi, Sushi, Eel (Unagi), Soba, and Udon. Soft drinks and dessert were included with lunch, while hard liqueur cost extra. You don’t have to book the restaurant, but if you want a table with a good view of the river and golf ground, it’s better to reserve early.

I have food restrictions, so I asked if they could change the set menu. They did.
