The bath is a mineral hot spring, and the water feels very slippery. It feels great afterward. The place is tucked into lush mountains and has the feel of a quaint resort, even though the location isn't great and the building is old. I used to visit the pool a lot as a kid, and more recently came here for a family dinner because of various circumstances. The staff are very polite and welcoming, with a family-like manner. I can see it working well for company banquets, training sessions, memorial services, and similar gatherings.

I went to Chikugogawa Onsen and found this place nearby. The water leaves your skin feeling like you've put on lotion. Adults pay just 550 yen, and it wasn't crowded when I went, so I could relax in the bath. A really good deal.

The restaurant takes reservations only. The facility sits at the trailhead of Mt. Fukuchi in Nogata City and can be used for overnight stays, hot spring day visits, training, conferences, or weddings. A day visit to the baths costs 500 yen per adult, so the price feels pretty average. There are an indoor bath, an open-air bath, and a sauna. The spring leaves your skin smooth, which women are sure to like. It's what you might call a beauty bath. Nogata City doesn't have many hot springs, so this is a valuable place to have.

The open-air bath has been out of order for quite a while, so what's available is the indoor bath and sauna. At 550 yen, I still think it's worth going. The water is so mineral-rich and slippery that I was surprised on my first visit. Even after shampooing and rinsing off, it feels as if some residue remains.

They don't let you bring in food or drinks, even something like a packed lunch, which is a shame. The bathing fee is ¥500 including tax for adults (junior high school students). The water is the highlight: thick and creamy, leaving your skin silky and smooth. It's an artificial mineral hot spring, but water this rich is unusual. To me, it compares with Takeo Onsen and Ureshino Onsen.
