Address Nagasaka

We had a really spacious apartment with a kitchenette and a lovely view of town. It’s right at the bottom of Nagasaka Gondola, and the staff were helpful and easy to reach in English. There are lockers and a dry room for your gear. Sports Thanx, where we rented from, is basically next door, and Craft Room downstairs was a nice spot for a drink.

Nozawa Onsen is a place we love, and this is an easy walk from the lodge into town. The bedrooms were comfortable, the kitchenette did the job, and there’s a shared drying room, laundry, and ski storage. Craft Room on the ground floor had good coffee and food, plus a bar. The best part for skiing is the ski-in, ski-out access near Nagasaka Gondola.

The location was great, right beside the Gondola, but getting checked in was a mess. We hauled our luggage all the way to Address Nagasaka because none of the emails said check-in was at Address Nozawa. They sent a driver to collect us, but he wouldn’t drive all the way up to the accommodation, so we had to walk back down with our bags. Reception offered no sympathy or apology. The shower was uncomfortable too, since turning up the pressure made it sting, and there was no coffee or tea, which I’d usually expect in self-contained accommodation.

A fantastic place in nozawaonsen. You can ski in and out, and there’s your own private onsen down in town. Loved it!
