Being able to get discounted lift tickets and a shuttle to and from the ski lift was a real plus. Chamonix 4 is a cozy cottage, with a kitchen and a big table that seats eight. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and both breakfast and the dinner we had one night were delicious. I'd definitely recommend it.

Ordering individual mains worked out much better for our friends: they got food of the same quality, felt full, and paid about half as much. The course sets, by comparison, felt overpriced and disappointing. The dishes tasted good, but after skiing all day I didn't want to spend over 8,000 yen and still be hungry. Our meal took more than two hours from ordering to the end, even though the restaurant was almost empty. Nice venue, but the food experience was only average.

The log cabin dining room has a lovely feel, especially with the fire going. We had a seafood course alongside the special Christmas menu, and the restaurant also offers themed courses such as meat, seafood, and cheese. Our family of five had a memorable Christmas banquet. Thanks to the chefs and staff for the food and the evening. Highly recommend.

In autumn, the birdsong, moving trees, and falling leaves make this a lovely spot to enjoy a sauna in Madarao. The price was reasonable, and I'd like to come back again.

The Meleze cabin was small but really cozy, and we loved staying there. It's on the quieter side of town, yet still close to the slopes. Finding fully self-contained accommodation in Japan is rare, so this place feels like a gem.
