There’s plenty of room, and the bus station is very close. The Nakasaka Gondola can be quite a walk away, though, which isn’t convenient when you’re carrying your own skis.

We were comfortable here for our two-night stay, and the hotel is right by the “shopping street,” mostly souvenir shops. Our family of three had a spacious room on the third floor, with free parking and an onsen on the sixth. Dinner was a pleasant surprise each night, prepared by the in-house chef. Breakfast changed from a buffet on our first morning to a set meal on the second. They didn’t clean the room during our stay, but that was fine for us.

The room was spotless, and the breakfast buffet staff were kind too. The man handling check-in was especially attentive and friendly, with service that felt comparable to a five-star hotel. A really good experience.

They offer guests local amazake in the lobby, which was a thoughtful touch. The traditional Japanese hotel also has a ski drying room warmed using heat from the onsen, which impressed me, and a washing machine guests can use for free.
