They noticed we were getting ready to head to the slopes early and moved breakfast earlier without us even asking. We really appreciated that thoughtfulness. The rooms and indoor baths were clean, too. The food was luxurious and the best I've had at any guesthouse so far. There weren't amenities like towels or toothbrushes, but with meals this good, I can understand. I'd like to come back!

The meals are delicious and generous, sometimes more than I can finish, even when I eat my fill. The drying room and baths are spacious enough for the full number of guests, and both are underground. This is my regular place when I come to Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort, in the Nitta district, two houses from Nitta Bus Terminal and about a two-minute walk from Nitta no Yu. I'll definitely return. One note: Nozawa Onsen is a bath for locals. If you're a tourist wanting a shower and a hot bath, Furusato no Yu is just past the souvenir shop area, under a ten-minute walk from here.

After staying here almost exclusively for the past six months, it feels like returning to a second hometown. I've been coming from Wakayama in the Kansai region to Nagano for more than ten years. Abe-san and Akebiya, my neighbors, are nice too, but the landlady's personality and the food are what keep bringing me back. It's been three years since my last stay. The facilities are clean and perfect. Even a nighttime walk to the hot spring town and its large baths feels relaxing, with the house lights around and locals coming back from the outdoor baths. It's mid-August, the bell crickets are already chirping, and I feel at ease every time. I'll be back. Landlady and husband, please take care.

The meals are tasty and carefully prepared with local ingredients, even though they don't use high-end ones. I was very happy with the food and the value, and would like to visit again.
