Shannon and Van were warm, helpful, and flexible throughout our stay. The Ridge is also in a great spot, with the Gondola and lovely town both within walking distance. Our room was cozy and comfortable, and everything was clean and ready for a snow holiday. We only wish we could have stayed longer, and we’d happily come back.

Getting around the village from Ridge was so easy. The apartment was roomy and had everything we needed, and the location couldn’t have been better.

The shared washer and dryer were free to use, and there were occasional trips to the supermarket for supplies. The Ridge is close to the gondola, though the main street and its restaurants take a bit of walking to reach. We stayed in the “bunk room,” which was exceptionally small, and that’s why I wouldn’t give it five stars. The apartments otherwise have excellent furnishings and fittings, with comfortable beds and pillows. Double-glazed windows helped keep the warmth inside. I’d stay again.

Liz and Cain looked after us so well the whole time we were there. The apartments were modern, spotless, and clearly well maintained. It’s only minutes from the bottom gondola, ski shops, and lift tickets. We had a great time in Nozawa Onsen and would definitely stay here again.

They’ve translated everything nicely into English, so getting by without Japanese was no problem. The apartment itself is good and has pretty nice facilities. There’s even a Nespresso coffee machine, which is hard to complain about. The laundry is handy too if you’re running short on clothes.
