Comfort Hotel Obihiro

I got fast checkout by just handing back the key. There's also a lounge area where you can help yourself to tea and water. Breakfast starts at 6am and was delicious. The hotel's close to the bus station and JR Obihiro station, and there are plenty of restaurants a 4-10 minute walk away. If you're walking there in winter, be ready for the freezing night weather. I arrived on March 3 sometime between 6:30pm and 8pm. The receptionist was so kind and helpful, and I felt grateful. I asked about a place I wanted to visit that had nothing to do with the hotel, and they looked up information even though I was fine if they didn't know. They went further and called my room with an update on their own initiative. Maybe my basic Japanese helped us communicate. I also asked for restaurant suggestions, and the entry instructions had some recommendations and coupons. My non-smoking room was good. The temperature is the same throughout the hotel, and it was too hot for me, so I switched it off. The fridge can be turned on, and the bathroom had basic amenities like shampoo, conditioner, and soap.

The room was typical in size for Japan, and breakfast options were limited, but everything tasted good. Great value for the money, with an excellent location for the JR station and bus stop.

The free coffee available around the clock was surprisingly good, and the Wi-Fi is free too. Rooms are pleasantly spacious for the price. The bed, mattress, and sheets are top quality. I'll stay again next time I'm here.

A great hotel in obihiro. The breakfast was complete, and the stay was comfortable.
