Guest House MOMO

I spent four lovely days at this guesthouse, and I’ll definitely stay again when I’m back in Obihiro. The couple who host it were so welcoming and helpful. When the Kushiro train was out of service on my arrival day, I had to take a taxi, and they kindly lent me their bicycles and treated me to homemade pumpkin cake and fruit. Their dog, Momo, was lively and affectionate, and the place was clean with lots of cute little decorations. On the day I left, the hostess drove me to the station because she was worried my luggage was too heavy. I’m truly grateful for all her help. Their kindness made the trip feel so much warmer. Thank you!

The owner gave us a warm welcome and explained the accommodation and things to keep in mind. Since we were driving as a family, having parking right beside the guesthouse was very convenient. The bathroom is a little small, but the water pressure is good. You can hear some sound between rooms, though the owner has thoughtfully added soundproofing cotton to the walls and asks guests to speak softly and move quietly. There’s a convenience store nearby, which makes picking things up easy. We had a very good stay.

I finally got around to writing this after our visit in early June this year. The host clearly puts a lot of care into maintaining the place, and the attention to detail really impressed me. It was very clean, comparable to a decent hotel, and our family of four rested comfortably in the spacious room. If I’m in Obihiro again, I’ll definitely stay here.

The host is friendly, and the price is reasonable, so it’s a great place. It’s a bit far from the station, but there’s a local bus that goes all the way to Chome, and with the right timing it’s easy enough to get there.
