Hotel Paco Obihiro Ekimae

I booked a non-smoking room, but the moment I stepped onto the 10th floor I could smell cigarettes. I really wanted a refund. I could have booked a better hotel. I reserved a non-smoking room, but it smelled like smoke.

There are plenty of good places to eat nearby, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The station is less than a five-minute walk away, with a Seico across the street. The window sill looked a bit worn and the bed dipped in the middle, but neither was a big deal.

There weren't enough parking spaces, and the room was noisy, which I guessed might have been the air conditioner. Even with the a/c set to 20c, the room stayed hot.

The breakfast here was very good, better than I expected from an Apa Hotel. Check-in was allowed a little early this time, which was great. It's only a few minutes from Obihiro station, with a Seico mart, Hokkaido's popular convenience store, across the street and restaurants nearby. The room was just okay. In April it was about 15 degrees celsius outside, but the air conditioning was set to heating and the room got hot. I opened the window, and saw lots of other rooms had theirs wide open too. The hotel could make the heating and cooling more flexible, or let each room set it independently. Otherwise, it's a typical Apa Brand hotel.
