Business Hotel Boston

Breakfast was a hearty Japanese meal, and I really liked the hot miso soup. The lobby is where it’s served, though, and it smelled of cigarettes. That could bother people who are sensitive to strong smells. I stayed for a New Year's party, my first time here. The room was thoroughly clean, with hardly any air conditioning smell, and I appreciated having lots of outlets. The vents below the windows were dusty, but places this clean are actually rare. The hotel itself felt well kept, though the lobby smell was a downside. The next morning, just before leaving, I noticed the art museum next door. I’d like to visit the Oita Prefectural Art Museum next time, and might stay here again if I get the chance.

I picked a room with breakfast, and the Japanese bento was surprisingly substantial. I enjoyed it a lot. This is essentially a business hotel with single rooms, behind the large music hall "iichiko Gransiata." I stayed here for a concert by my favorite artist, and it’s handy for both the city center and Miyako-machi entertainment district. The ownership seems to have changed since my previous stay, and this time was more comfortable. The bed is now a Simmons, and the other facilities were cleaner than before. The room felt a little small, but it’s perfectly adequate for one person.

The room was clean, but the shower had no hot water at night. It came back at 11:30 PM, when an announcement was made in the hotel. That woke me up, and I couldn’t get back to sleep.

I was there alone for work and only needed the room for one night, so I didn’t have any major complaints. The building is old, though it wasn’t dirty. I don’t think they serve breakfast. There might have been something at the front desk, but there was no hair dryer in my room. It also had no refrigerator, and the amenities were pretty limited.
