The little free onsen bath was a bonus, and I loved the Japanese breakfast. It’s a set meal and not huge, but you can have as much rice as you want, with lots of different seasonings to add, plus coffee and tea. They even served me when I arrived at 9 am, right at the 6-9 am breakfast window. That end time does feel early for people on holiday or traveling like me. For a private room at around 2400 yen, I didn’t expect it to be this nice or comfortable. It’s tiny, maybe closer to 9 m than 12 depending on how you count the long side, but the bed is big enough. There’s a TV, desk, air conditioning, fast WiFi, and a private bathroom with a robe, towel, toothbrush, hairbrush, and razor. Staff are always at reception. I was surprised by the service quality at such a cheap price, though I was lucky to get a special rate that day, which isn’t usual. Storage felt very secure because they give you a number. The staff didn’t seem to speak much English, but they understood me, and that was the main thing.
