Abiss Inn Okayama

Breakfast came as a tasty bento, a lovely way to start the day. I stayed several nights and found it very comfortable. The staff were polite and the rooms clean. There's a convenience store nearby, and Okayama Station is about a 10-minute drive away. I'd love to come back!

The staff were friendly and helpful, which left a good impression. Breakfast was a well-balanced boxed lunch, good quality and just the right amount, so I was very satisfied. I chose this place because I needed somewhere that worked for a motorcycle, and was glad I could park under a roof. It's about a 10-minute walk from the downtown area, and the price made it very good value. I'd use the hotel again.

The front desk staff were very polite, and I really liked the breakfast bento. I do feel bad that I spilled a little miso soup and caused them some trouble. I'd be happy to stay here again for business.

The room itself was fine, and during my seven nights the hotel was thoroughly cleaned every day. But the way the staff handled an emergency was awful. At 1:45am, the fire alarm blared, and nobody from the hotel came out. We had to call the fire department ourselves. It was a false alarm, but we couldn't return to our room until 2:30am. The only announcement said, "Don't worry!!" There was no explanation. As I was escaping downstairs to the first floor, I saw a staff member come out of a guest room on the fourth floor, looking like they had just woken up with bedhead. The environment was nice, but the response was so poor. If there had been a major fire, someone might have died. I can't accept this. The next morning, the hotel still gave no explanation. Think of how guests felt, back in their rooms but anxious and unable to sleep, with work to get up for in the morning. It really doesn't matter!
