Hotel Fine Garden Okayama 1 - Adults Only

I was tempted by the low rate of 5,200 yen a night, but after finding a huge cockroach in the room and lots of other insects on the floor, I can see there was a reason for the price. I don’t want to stay in a hotel like this again. Be careful if you’re thinking of staying here.

I’m very grateful for how kind everyone was, from the meals and amenities to the service when I went out and the room itself. This was my first stay at a hotel in this chain, but I’d definitely come back. Thank you so much.

I appreciated how politely they answered my email beforehand. I’m a bit sensitive and had some requests, and they clearly explained what they could and couldn’t accommodate. That mattered to me. The room didn’t feel perfect, especially as I like to bring my own UV light, but it seemed passable by current hotel standards. There was a welcome drink, a bottle of water, and an energy drink. The room was very spacious for one person, with a fluffy king-size bed, a single-person tub with a jacuzzi, and a large-screen TV. The free VOD service was out of order, and a crackling sound from the ceiling speakers was off-putting. The outlets were far from the table, so an extension cord would’ve helped. Breakfast was okay for the price. If you find a cheaper plan, it could be a good option for business travelers. The location is residential and seems mostly corporate, so I don’t think there are many restaurants nearby. I had a car and could come and go, so that wasn’t an issue. I booked a business trip room with breakfast included.

I called after work at 1:00 am to ask if I could stay, and they were very polite and helpful. They said I could reserve a room by giving them my name and contact details, so I did. They provide receipts and offer good deals at low prices. The room was on the level of a standard five-star hotel, with a large bath and bed and plenty of amenities. The parking lot 🅿️ felt a little cramped. I’ll use them again if I need a place in an emergency.
