There’s not much nearby, so on the way in we stopped at a convenience store by the bridge/cyclists sanctuary for noodles, tofu, cabbage, and frozen broccoli to make dinner, plus some beers. The place has a lovely spot to sit and have a drink after a long ride, and the shower was so nice. Everything felt just right, even the bath mat 😂 Arigato Gozaimasu! ❤️ We loved the calm, classy, cool feel, from the super comfortable beds and friendly welcome to the brilliantly equipped kitchen and lovely shampoo and conditioner. Some of the best accommodation we’ve ever stayed in.

Mamiko made the stay especially good. She was so friendly and went out of her way to help with my travel plans. Omishima Space Omoya was a great place to stay and a perfect midway stop on the Shimanami Kaido. The space was fantastic in person, even better than the photos, and it was spotless, well equipped, and great value.

After a long day cycling in the rain, the staff gave us newspaper to help dry our shoes. Such a thoughtful gesture from kind, helpful people. We stayed here during our Shimanami Kaido ride and really liked the modern, well-equipped rooms and communal areas, including a tatami room. The kitchen is great, and there’s a convenience store a short bike ride away. Couldn’t recommend it more!

The host was incredibly kind and welcoming, and this was probably the best place I’ve stayed in across two trips to Japan. It has a natural, traditional feel alongside modern touches, and was a perfect break during the Shimanami Kaido Bike Tour. Looking back, I wish I’d booked more than one night. I’d definitely recommend it.

The staff were very accommodating, and every detail felt thoughtfully arranged. I really appreciate the purpose behind this beautiful place and how it gets people to appreciate Omishima island. By far the loveliest accommodation we’ve had on this trip. Definitely worth checking out!
