Hotel Trend Okayama Ekimae

We stayed at Trend Okayama from 27 October to 31 October on our last trip to Japan, and the breakfast arrangement was disappointing. The staff said no when we asked about missing items, and some dishes, including green salad, had disappeared well before breakfast ended. The bread rolls were still frozen, so we had to ask a staff member and wait a long time. There were only small amounts of each item, and every label was in Japanese, which isn't helpful for foreign guests. Please label the food in English and keep everything available with refills through the end of breakfast, since all guests pay for BB. Thank you, Kapila and Shanthi, Sri Lanka.

The washing machines were great, and I'd definitely stay here again. The room, service, and location were all perfect. I'm glad I booked, and I'd recommend trying the breakfast too.

The optional paid breakfast was pretty solid by Japanese breakfast standards, and the service overall was good. Rooms are much bigger than at a typical Japanese business hotel, but they lack amenities compared with somewhere like the APA line. The walls are bare, there's a single overhead light and no desk light, so the room doesn't feel cozy. It feels like it was put together by a guy in his twenties whose living room, until last week, was a PlayStation, a TV on the floor, and one chair.

There's a Lawson convenience store right downstairs, and Aeon Mall is only a few steps away. A nice little business hotel, basic but clean and modern.
