The rooftop bar and the large outdoor onsen, which also has a sauna, both have lovely views of Okayama's night lights. The rooms are spacious, and there's a big parking lot. The entrance lobby and dining room look dated, which may explain some of the negative reviews, but they were spotlessly clean.

The room had a spectacular view, especially at night, and felt roomier than a typical Japanese hotel. There was space to walk around, plus a desk area, table, and small couch. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. Breakfast was amazing, and parking was convenient. It's a little outside the town center, but with a car this is a great place to stay.

We had an enjoyable two-night stay, with welcoming service in an old-fashioned, friendly way. The hotel is a little dated, but our room was large by Japanese hotel standards and had a wonderful view over the city and mountains.

The setting is lovely, and the baths have fantastic views over the city. Service was okay, though the staff didn't seem especially focused on hospitality.

The view from here is lovely, and I really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and excellent service. The open-air bath impressed me, though you may have to queue when it's crowded. Still, I think it's worth it.
