Traveling with my dog in Okayama Prefecture for the first time, I found this place easy to reach by car from Okayama Station. It was new, clean, and inexpensive, with no meals included. There weren't strict rules about dogs, which let me relax. The shower pressure was the one letdown.

The apartment-style room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and we enjoyed a relaxed stay with our two dogs. Check-in was easy, and I didn't feel I had to worry much about other guests, so I'd stay here again when passing through Okayama. We were assigned room 301. Since it was a long trip, we later wished we'd picked a fourth-floor room, where the bathrooms have dryers. We checked in at the machine with the dogs in a stroller, but the elevator is tight, and a large stroller won't fit through the entrance. A leash or carrying the dogs may work better. The photo shows an AirBuggy wizX. Our main-road-facing room got noise from cars and motorcycles, especially bikes with loud mufflers or engines being revved. That could be difficult with a dog that barks a lot. The showerhead had a stopper, so barely any water came through. For a bath, filling the tub and rinsing with a bucket was quicker.

We were traveling around western Japan as a family of four with our dog, and this was a valuable place to stay with a pet in the middle of the city. The owner seemed to have put real thought into it. The room was roomy, clean, and comfortable, with two double beds, a sofa bed, and a futon for it. There was a bathroom dryer that dried laundry thoroughly. Cooking was possible too, with a two-door fridge, induction stove, microwave, kettle, frying pan, pot, and tableware. The only thing that bothered me was there were just two sets of spoons and forks and no chopsticks, which is why I rated it 4.0. There wasn't hotel parking, but a paid lot right across the way meant we had no trouble. A convenience store was nearby, and there was an umbrella in the shoe locker by the entrance, though it didn't look new. You could borrow it to go shopping in the rain. They seemed to have dog rollers and bowls, but we brought our own things and bed sheets, so didn't need them.

The room had the basics, was new and clean, and our family had a comfortable visit to Okayama. I'd recommend the hotel for people traveling with pets. It's unmanned, with check-in and checkout handled on a touch panel in the first-floor entrance area. The identity check involved communicating with a staff member overseas, as other guests have mentioned. That part could be confusing and take some time, but otherwise we were very satisfied.
