Akihito san is a warm, smiling host who has lived in Oki for a long time and has plenty of stories. We learned a lot about local life from him. His hospitality and cooking really touched us, and he made us feel comfortable and left us with memorable days. He prepared a course dinner using local ingredients, some of the best Japanese food I've had. Breakfast was great too, and the coffee deserves a mention. Staying at this guest house is an experience in itself. I would've loved to stay longer.

The owners are young, flexible, and helped us with just about anything we needed, including rides to various places. They're kind hosts, and the food is excellent. It's a cozy, quiet, beautiful place that suited our group especially well, though I'd recommend it to anyone wanting to see the real Japan. There are a few turntables in the common area and some great sounds. Thanks so much!

Kusuburu house is a classy-looking countryside hotel on Dogo island, with beautiful decor and a very clean, tidy feel. The owner and friends were kind and welcoming, and they could communicate in English. The food was delicious too. Highly recommended for travelers visiting Oki island.
