Pension Alphabet

I was the only guest that night, and the whole place felt peaceful. My room was clean and nice, and they gave me a shower towel at no extra cost. The family running Pension Alphabet were incredibly kind. After picking me up unexpectedly at the nearby train station (Yamaha), one of the owners drove me over, offered tea, coffee, and snacks, and kept giving me ideas for the next day. There were lots of maps and pamphlets to look through. We planned things, watched TV, and chatted. They didn't speak much English, so we talked almost entirely in Japanese. When I asked how long he'd waited at the station, he said just five minutes, though I still don't know how he guessed when I'd arrive. It was a wonderful experience. Stay here and meet these lovely people.
