Mystays Kanazawa Castle Hotel

The communal bath was a nice, relaxing touch, and I found it quiet when I went around 7 PM. The rooms were clean and modern, and the location was really convenient. Service felt friendly and unpretentious. Internet speeds did get pretty slow at times. Maybe they limit bandwidth per user so everyone can get a decent connection?

A sudden medical emergency meant I needed urgent surgery and couldn't travel as planned. I explained what had happened, but the hotel wouldn't offer a refund or any flexibility. I understand there are cancellation rules, yet I had hoped for more compassion in those unexpected circumstances. I'm very dissatisfied and won't consider staying there in future. I hope they reconsider their policies for guests facing genuine emergencies.

This was our least favorite place of the six days we spent in accommodation. It's cheap and centrally located, but feels dated, and there was visible mold that we could smell. I worried about our respiratory health. The elevator also smelled strongly of body odor every morning. At least we saved money, and the staff seemed to be doing the best they could with the situation.

We arrived to find the rooms' heat couldn't be switched off. The hotel told us to open the windows onto an extremely busy street, then offered one fan for four rooms. We gave up and went to another hotel, but it took more than an hour to get a refund from MyStays. This place was terrible. Don't stay here.
