The lake view was lovely, and the room was big, with a table in the middle. After 6 p.m., two people come in to move the table aside and lay out the futons. There are four hot baths: an indoor and an outdoor one, with separate baths for women and men. Breakfast had lots of Japanese and Western choices and was good. The hotel was clean. Towels, a kimono, hot water with tea, and some cookies were in the room. There’s also a small shop and massage chairs that cost 100 yen.

I’m still wondering why I was served a kaiseki dinner when other reviews mention an all-you-can-eat buffet with Omi beef. I’d upgrade my rating to five stars if I could get an answer. The staff’s English was very limited, and the room didn’t have a bath, which could be difficult for anyone still shy about using a public bath. Thank you.

The hot spring bath was really relaxing, and the location made it easy to walk to the beach and swim in the lake within a couple of minutes. The room was comfortable, the food was good, and they put on a small event every night that children enjoy.
