The senior receptionist really stood out. He came along to show me the room at check-in, and was so kind that he even offered to take me to the airport at 6 am. The hotel is conveniently close to Nagasaki airport, and the room was decent for getting a good night's sleep.

I booked Rich because it was the closest place to the airport, but it turned out to be far enough that I needed a taxi. The pickup service I'd been promised didn't work out either. A taxi from the hotel back to the airport cost even more. If you're heading to Nagasaki City, maybe staying there makes sense, but I'd pick somewhere by a station with better transport access next time. If you have time, you can walk from Shin-Omura and other places, though it takes just under 30 minutes. The staff were kind, but after coming from Tokyo, I found their way of thinking a bit old-fashioned. I think I would've been better off at a hotel with easier transport and people who could give me accurate answers.
