We paid far too much for a place in this condition. The hot water didn’t work, and there was a notice on the faucets, which made it seem the owners already knew. With a young child along, having no hot water to bathe in felt cruel. I contacted the property about these problems and got no reply. The beds were clean, but the rest of the property wasn’t: the pool’s sliding door was filthy, both couches were stained, the floors were dirty, and the top of the refrigerator hadn’t been cleaned. My friends and I stayed at the Okinawa property over the July 4th weekend, and the basic cleaning had clearly been neglected. I’m a travel agent who recommends properties, and I would not recommend this one to my clients.
