The host was really helpful, spoke a little English, and gave us tips on places to visit and good food in town. The common room was great too. A really nice place for a few days in Ono, especially at this price. I’d recommend it.

We loved the welcoming, at-home feel and the friendly staff, and Ono City and its people really grew on us. The price was very reasonable, and the shared downstairs space was comfortable. The bunks were extremely comfortable, though climbing down from the top one was tricky. The walls are thin, but earplugs and eye masks are provided. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Everything was very clean, and the staff were so helpful. It’s an easy walk to everything, and they give detailed instructions for using the facilities, though we still couldn’t figure out the Japanese toilet. Space was tight for us and our bicycles, and it can get noisy when busy. Still, it’s the best place in town.

The family room is worth recommending. It’s a hostel, but the room was nicer than most hotel rooms. Very clean, with a friendly owner, and the price was great for what you get.

A great place to stay in Fukui. Since it’s a hostel, bring earplugs or an eye mask for sleeping.
