I booked two nights for the experience after TikTok made this hostel look so appealing, but the beds are horrible. The mattress feels like a rock, they only give you two sheets for the linen and a hard pillow, and there's nowhere to put your stuff. I'm sleeping with my bag right now, and it's awful. The cafe is nice, and I like the architecture, interior design, and vibe in the common area. But the rooms aren't good. Music plays at full volume all day and night, and the lights stay on. I don't understand the point of that music. It's horrible, and there's no need for it. I'm here right now and no one likes it. Don't come here!

The toilets are shared, and our sheets were clean. I felt safe during our stay, and they can store your luggage when you don't need it, which was handy. Closing the curtain made the bed space hot, with hardly any fresh air, especially with two of us sharing it. Book and Bed Tokyo has a creative idea. Sleeping among the books feels unique and memorable. They call the beds capsules, but to me they felt more like small dorm-style spaces built into shelves. A very cool experience, especially for book lovers or anyone after unusual accommodation.

The internet didn't work, the place was dirty, and the staff weren't much help. When we brought up the mess or the Wi-Fi, they'd just say sorry and go back to running the cafe. What place in Japan doesn't have working internet? The room has a huge window, so people in the cafe can watch everyone inside like we're in a zoo. It's beautifully designed, but the bags and shoes left all over by backpackers and the general lack of consideration made the place feel gross. Anyone can come into the room and take pictures of you with all your stuff, if they pay.

I was travelling alone and had a really nice stay. The location is convenient, near Dotonbori and the Midosuji Line. The interior is cute and creative, the staff are nice, and the café is very good too.

The staff were really nice. The room got quite warm, and the bathroom could be more comfortable, but it was okay for a few nights.
