Comfort Hotel Shin-Osaka

There are all kinds of places to eat within two blocks, and the hotel has a large central library and common area. It’s conveniently near Shin-Osaka Station, and the complimentary breakfast is a nice start to the day. Don’t be put off by the three-star rating, it’s a great place, and the staff are very friendly. They had a Golden Week game running for May 2026. You scoop floating balls from a bowl with a paper net in 20 seconds, but the net dissolves while you play. I got eight balls before mine fell apart and picked Japanese chopsticks as my prize. More balls mean more valuable prizes. Every guest gets a turn and at least a small rubber ball, so try your luck.

The main problem was the Wi-Fi in one of our two rooms. It wouldn’t connect properly. The hotel sent someone to fix it right away, but it was still very slow afterward. The other room’s Wi-Fi was fine. Otherwise, this was one of the best value hotels I’ve stayed in. We used Osaka as a base to explore nearby cities, and the hotel is about a five-minute walk from Shin-Osaka station, handy for both local trains and the Shinkansen. The rooms were modern, comfortable, and larger than average. Cash-operated laundry machines were useful for traveling light. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of seats and lots of options, from juice, cereal, and yogurt to toast, waffles, scrambled eggs, protein, rice, soup, and more. The staff were helpful, attentive, and friendly.

We stayed at Comfort Hotel Shin-Osaka a couple of days ago and really enjoyed it. The location is great, about a five-minute walk to Shin-Osaka station, which helped when taking the express train from Kansai airport. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the complimentary breakfast was really tasty. We also loved Jinanbo Ramen nearby, especially the best Kaarage we’ve ever had. We’d definitely stay at Comfort Hotel Shin-Osaka again if we return to Osaka.

The location by Shin Osaka Station made getting around Osaka much easier, especially since it was our first time in Japan. My family and I stayed here for the Osaka part of our four-week trip. The room was clean and a good size, and the staff were super great. Breakfast was included and the food was good, though there weren't many choices. I'd happily stay here again.
