We couldn't stay in the room and had to book another hotel nearby right away. The cigarette odor was still there alongside air freshener that seemed to have been used to cover it, and running the air conditioner didn't help even after half an hour. It was strongest when we opened the toilet door, as if someone had smoked there before. My partner and I started sneezing from a serious nose allergy, and we couldn't sleep. We left for health reasons and don't recommend this place.

The room was a reasonable size and worked fine for an overnight stop before going to the Expo. Tempozan Marketplace is close by, and getting to the Expo site was really easy. The neighborhood still has the feel of a port workers' district, which could be interesting to some.

We liked our stay, and it's an affordable, handy base for the aquarium and other family-friendly attractions nearby in Osaka. Just be warned that the Japanese bedding is very firm and uncomfortable if you're not used to it.

Having a washing machine was a big help after we'd already been on vacation for about a week, and the staff were kind, helpful, and answered all my questions. They even let me book one more night in the same room. The shower and toilet were updated, with the shower separate, which was great since kids take a while in the bath. Most of the attractions I planned to visit were an easy walk away, with restaurants and convenience stores close by too. The apartment hotel was lovely, though the room was a bit dusty and the AC needs cleaning.

I really enjoyed staying here. The building felt very secure, and there was food everywhere nearby. The aquarium and Ferris wheel are just down the street, with an airport bus nearby and the train around the corner. Universal Studios Japan is across the bridge, and you can take a cab from near the bus and train by the corner store. For laundry, bring at least 600 yen. The machines are through the door on the elevator's left side. Really nice place!
